My name is Jana and I am a (late) 20s early 30s on and off blogger, retired powerlifter, active “gym” goer, streamer, raver, person-who-likes-the-idea-of-being-social-but-isnt has a huge social life now.
I was born and raised in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and have moved around for most of my life. At the age of 17 I moved to Canterbury, and that’s where I’ve lived ever since.
Education wise, I have a B.Environmental Planning and Management. I used to work for the regional council (the stories I could tell) but have since moved into working for iwi – which was my ultimate goal when going through uni. It’s pretty amazing working for iwi, I get to learn every single day.
Since 2021, I’ve been a pretty active “raver” I guess. Well, at least I attend a lot of gigs and raves. I love drum and bass, but love a lot of EDM in general. I have a set of decks, but haven’t really gotten far with mixing. I love dancing, and being able to zone out. When you’re in the rave, there are no problems. Just dancing. It’s almost a little therapy session for me 🙂
This place isn’t here so potential employers can find me, judge my terrible writing and not employ me. It’s just a place for me to talk about my experiences – mostly travel and general “life” stuff. I want to talk to others, too and be a part of the blogging community again.
Sometimes I’ll post TMI health stuff, relating to PCOS or weightloss. That’ll be awkward if you know me in real life, but you can skip past those posts.
Other times I’ll post reviews on trips, or some helpful tips about visiting other countries. Maybe I’ll review some skin care (except my pores are huge and nothing is working so far so they’d only be a list of negative reviews).
An important thing to note is that you’ll find my writing style casual, laid back, and yeah I’ll probably slip a “lol!” in a post. That’s because I’m writing these posts to have fun, not to generate money or get as many keywords in one sentence so my blog reaches #1 on Google.
I really hope you’ll stick around and comment on some posts! I really love reading new blogs, and appreciate some banter!
